Meet a Farmer: Frank Arnosky
Report by Texas Farm Bureau

"Texans love Texas flowers. And one family grows about 75 different flowers on their 20-acre farm. They’re sold out of their blue barn and in grocery stores across the state."

Local Flowers, Local Farmers:
A Growing American Movement

This short film beautifully illustrates the movement back to locally-grown cut flowers now gaining strength across the United States. With visits to members' farms, and interviews with farmers, buyers, florists, and our own researcher John Dole, it clearly demonstrates the benefits of local over imported flowers.

Arnosky Flower Farms:
A Report by Central Texas Gardener

These days, we’re into local food, but how local are the floral bouquets we buy? In 1990, Pamela and Frank Arnosky ventured into a rocky business on formerly cedar-studded land, built their house, and started a farm: Arnosky Family Farms. Hear their stories of flower farming and a visit to American Grown Flowers' Field to Vase dinner tour in May 2016, where H-E-B Blooms floral designers and Austin chefs brought together seasonal Slow Food and Slow Flowers at the family farm. See how Field to Vase American Grown Flowers support the farmers behind our cut flowers.
